The C.O.PAR. Cooperative was founded in December 1962 by a group of 31 local citizensand olive growers from Dolianova, a small village located in the South of the island Sardinia (Italy). Their main aim was improving the quality, production and marketing opportunities for an already excellent natural product.As a matter of fact, the production area, called Parteolla, is a green oasis in the centre of South East Sardinia, surrounded by mountains, hills and plains, just a few kilometres from the sea.The geographical form, history and tradition of our land mean it is naturally suited to thecultivation of olives and grapevines."Partes Olea" was the name given to our land by the ancient Romans when they firstsettled in Sardinia. The name means "land ideal for cultivating olive groves".Plants and crops were already widespread prior to their arrival.Today, just as in the past, Parteolla carries forward this ancient vocation with passion.The awards that the fruits of this land collect from around the world provide undisputedtestimony to the quality and know-how achieved in this production sector.C.O.PAR Cooperative extends over 1,200 hectares cultivated by our members, reaching a total of over 169,000 olive trees.
